Maui

Maui is the birthplace of kitesurfing, and Kite Beach at Kanaha on the island's north shore remains hallowed ground. Reliable Hawaiian trade winds blow across reef-broken waves, with the legendary breaks of Ho'okipa just down the coast. This is a powerful, advanced spot: the wind is strong, the water is moving, and reef and crowds demand experience and respect. For confident riders, the reward is world-class wave riding and big-air conditions in one of the most beautiful settings on earth. The season peaks April to October. Maui is best left to experienced kiters who can handle real ocean conditions.
