Bloubergstrand sits just north of Cape Town, framed by one of the most photographed backdrops in kitesurfing: Table Mountain rising across the bay. The summer southeaster known locally as the Cape Doctor rips through from November to February, often blowing hard and steady, which is why Cape Town has become a winter training base for many pros. Conditions are demanding, with strong wind and a punchy Atlantic swell that rewards confident riders. This is an advanced spot best suited to experienced kiters comfortable with big air and waves. Come prepared for cold water, powerful gusts and world-class jumping.
